01st June, 2019

On a beautifully mild Brisbane Autumn morning, a collection of good-willed car and motorbike enthusiasts gathered in the Autohouse outdoor storage area for the 2019 Traction Joyride.

Held annually, Joyride is where a colourful collection of two and four-wheeled machinery assemble together early in the morning for a cup of coffee and then cruise through the beautiful Scenic Rim, through to a lovely breakfast at the enchanting Nindooinbah Farm in Beaudesert.

Impressive examples of two and four wheeled machinery came out to play

The 2019 event saw the event commence at Autohouse Storage for the first time – and the first of many, we hope indeed. Glorious caffeine was served up by Danny and his wonderful team of mobile Baristas from The Power Station Co, who just simply cannot be overlooked for remotely providing suburb cafe-quality coffee, and firmly proving that the humble ‘coffee cart’ can certainly be done properly.

Over 15 motorbikes and 30 cars of all shapes sizes from all corners of the globe took part in the mornings festivities. We were warmly welcomed at Nindooinbah Farm with a BBQ Breakfast, live jazz band, and helicopter joyrides on offer!

Traction is a charitable organisation that empowers young people in need,  helping them positively engage with their communities, discover their talents and create their own future. Their programs are often based around mechanically-orientated projects, such us involving kids in the restorations of donated bicycles and postie-bikes. With such a pragmatic automotive-themed program, it was only natural for Autohouse Storage to its support behind it.
